The AVE 130X is our Vela speargun built specifically for big bluewater hunting, where maximum power, heavy shafts and long-range accuracy are required for targeting large pelagic fish.
Named after the yellowfin tuna in Tahitian, the AVE 130X takes the AVE platform to its most powerful configuration. Its Vela system — commonly known as an invert roller system — is designed to accelerate a heavy 9.5 mm shaft smoothly while minimizing recoil and maintaining stability through the shot.
With an effective shooting range of up to 8 meters, the AVE 130X is designed for serious bluewater hunting where penetration and accuracy at distance are critical.
The laminated Burmese teak and unidirectional carbon fiber construction provides the rigidity, mass and balance required to manage its extreme power. Its breakaway configuration allows the speargun to separate from the shooting line after the shot, making it purpose-built for large pelagic species in open water.

Shaft Configuration
When the slip tip option is selected, the standard double-flopper shaft is replaced with a threaded shaft compatible with the 9.5 mm slip tip setup.
Made to Order
Every AVE 130X is individually built to order, with multiple finishing and configuration options available.
The standard package includes the speargun, shaft and bands. Reel is not included.
